Terms
The rules, without the small print.
You get an app that tells stories about artworks. We get to keep improving it. Here is what each side promises.
Draft. This text is a structure for the final document and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It will be replaced before launch.
1. The service
M4ART provides audio and text stories about artworks in supported collections. Coverage is listed in the app and may change. Stories are written with the help of AI from museum records and reviewed by an editor; we correct errors when they are reported.
2. Your account
One account per person. Keep your password to yourself. You can close the account at any time from the account page.
3. Early access
During early access the service is free and may change or pause without notice. If paid plans are introduced, you will be asked before anything is charged.
4. Content and rights
Stories, narration and the app’s design belong to M4ART. Artwork images belong to the museums or are in the public domain, as credited. You may listen and read for personal use; please don’t redistribute the stories.
5. Behaviour in museums
Follow the museum’s rules on photography and phones. The app is a guide, not a permission.
6. Liability
We do our best to be accurate, but a story is not a scholarly source; check the references before citing. Standard limitation-of-liability wording will be added here.
7. Changes
We will note the date of every change to these terms on this page.
