What we keep, and what we don’t.
The short version: the app needs your camera to recognise a work and your account to remember what you heard. We keep as little as we can.
Draft. This text is a structure for the final document and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It will be replaced before launch.
1. What the app sees
To recognise a work, the app looks at the camera frame on your phone. Whether frames are stored, and for how long, is being confirmed with the engineering team; this section will state it plainly.
2. Your account
With an account we keep your email, your name if you add one, the works you scanned, the stories you heard and where you paused, the museums you visited and your settings. This is what the “Places” and “Artworks” pages show you.
3. What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or share personal data with advertisers.
- We don’t track you across other apps or sites.
- We don’t keep your location beyond the museum you scanned in.
4. Your rights
From the account page you can download everything we hold about you or delete the account. Deleting removes your data within a period to be stated here.
5. Payments
If paid plans appear, card details will be handled by a payment provider and never stored by M4ART. The provider will be named here.
6. Contact
Questions about data: contact form, topic “My account”.
Last updated: to be set at launch.
